Timber Falls

A weekend of camping in the mountains becomes an excursion into hell for a young couple, who become pawns in a grotesque plot hatched by deranged locals.

Hmmm sounds an awful lot like....nah.

Plot:
A couple decides to go hiking in the woods. After stopping off too get directions (where they are told too only go two different paths, they are the only patrolled ones) they come to the crossroad and get convincing to go a different way. Girl gets captured, boy tries to find her and gets captured, deformed evil guy, etc. The movie had an aura of "been there, done that" before.

Gore:
Finger gets cut off, leg gets caught in bear trap, head cut off, etc. Not that gorey but it's alright.

Acting:
Good acting for the most part. It was easily above average compared to most of the similar movies, and the characters actually acted somewhat sensible (unlike movies such as Hills Have Eyes).

Special Effects:
There wasn't really any but they weren't needed.

Overall:
A little above average of a horror movies. If you are knew too them and want to see a somewhat basic/ overused one then this is a good place to start. Otherwise I would avoid it, it's nothing new and nothing spectacular.

6/10
