Shadowrun {360/PC}

Shadowrun is available on X-Box Live and for Windows Vista, this was based off of 360 version.

Graphics: 9/10

Great graphics, nothing wrong with them at all. No graphical glitches or crappy pixelation are noticeable at all, the only downside is that there is a lack of animation when climbing up/ down ladders. Why? Dunno, some say it's because having a realistic animation while you can turn 360 degrees would be impossible. Whatever the reason, it looks pretty odd.

Gameplay: 8/10

One of the most versatile FPS' around. Instead of sticking to the normal straight weapon format, Shadowrun tosses in various Magic and Tech "spells" that you can purchase that provide infinite different strategies. You can pick two of the seven weapons to use at a time and have up to three magic or tech abilities. The Magic ranges from giving you the power to teleport to giving you the power to summon a strong minion to fight for you. The tech ranges from basic grenades to gliders that allow you to fly around. However this makes Shadowrun a very team oriented game, you can easily be the sole reason your team loses. The four races are equal for the most part and offer very distint differences, elves regenerate life, dwarves can suck "essence" (what you need to use magic and tech) from anyone, trolls are tanks and can take a massive amount of damage but are very slow, and humans are balanced in all areas. Shadowrun was also Microsofts first game for the cross-system play, you can play with players both on Vista and 360 at the same time. The only downsides of this game are the lack of customization options such as skins or outfits of any kind, and there is only seven available weapons. The other downside is the lack of maps, with only four different maps (that come in large and small versions) it can leave you wondering where the rest is.

Story: 1/10

If you play and kind of FPS you're probably used to generic, crappy plots of some evil force trying to take over the world yada yada. Shadowrun doesn't even have this much of a plot, there's an ancient relic and one side is trying to steal it for evil and the other is trying to protect it. That's it. The plot doesn't get expanded past the opening cinema because there is no single player campaign. But really, who buys a FPS for the plot?

Multiplayer: 9/10

One of the most engaging online FPS, teamwork is a must, endless strategies, great community (for the most part), and cross system playing leave it feeling great. While many online communities will die out with Halo 3, Shadowrun may not be one of them because it is an online only game and it offers something for those bored of standard online FPS. Don't go online expecting to be a one man army though, you will lose.

Replay Value: 10/10

With so many options available to you the replay value is endless. As long as you can find people to play with you will always be discovering new combinations and strategies. You can pick up, follow the tutorials, hop online and see a world that feels like WOW meets Halo. With all the interesting mixes and matches possible you will easily find yourself returning day after day to find the perfect mix of players with certain playstyle aspects that form a team the likes of which gaming hasn't seen yet.

Overall: 8/10

A truly great, innovative FPS. Tons of play styles available for just you that it will give a unique experience every time you play. If you're looking for a solid team shooter this is it. However if you do not have Live Shadowrun is not for you, with no single player campaign you will be stuck playing limited-enjoyment bot games.
