Well Chamillionaire took a different turn on this album going political. Kane for Kane beats was a big part of this album. Heres my song by song review:

1. The Morning News:
This is in my opinion the best track on the album. It has great purpose and it actually shows good lyrical skill. It set the tone for the whole album.

2. Hip Hop Police:
Its a good track and Chams verse was a lyrical bonanza. Good chorus and all but this track gets boring after a few plays.

3. Standing Ovation:
Its an average track with a good Hook sang by Cham.

4. Won't Let You Down:
One of my favorite tracks on the album. The chorus which was sang buy K-Ci was great. It added a real nice element to the song with K-Ci's unorthodox style. Great chorus and a good thought.

5. Industry Groupie:
Haha another shot at Hip Hops Hoes. Well this was a well placed shot. Cham had a surprisingly good verse for this type of song. He spoke truthfully about the state of the GROUPIES. A nice and catchy beat to smooth it all over. Then with shoutouts and referrals to fellow MC's like a personal favorite "Like Unk said TAKE 2 STEPS Towards the DOOR and Walk it Out"

6.Pimp Mode:
This is simply an average song not much more to it

7. Rockstar:
Its a good concept but wasnt all that great of a song. Chams verse was nothing special and Weezys verse was.....well..........yea. He said something about wiping ur nose and I lost track of everything else. But 4real its just a so-so song that could've been doen better by another artist with the same concept.

9. The Bill Collecta:
Not sure what the big fuss was about it isnt all that good. It wasnt really anything it was just blah. An Average song at best.

10. The Ultimate Vacation:
This song aint bad just ur everyday song by a rapper who has money. He basically talks about the places hes been and what not. Not a lyrical verse its just a rich mans verse

11. Come Back To The Streets:
This disappointed me I expected more from a song like this. Its an okay track but I was expecting something with more depth in it. Not much going on just a simple chorus and a verse thats decent. Nothin special

12. I Think I Love You:
I loved this beat it was cleverly done. Actually a good song. The beat was harmoniously in tune with the lyrics. A well written song as Cham stays true to his love songs.

13. The Evening News:
Good track with excellent lyrical skills being shown once again. He speaks on politics such as Katrina, Gas Prices, and what not. I liked the direction he was going with it. He speaked on Rap being blamed for school shootings and such.

14. Welcome To Da South:
Good track I liked it a lot. It had that Houston style to it. Good verses left and right. Basically he stay reppin the South

15. You Must Be Crazy:
Meh what can I say every album has a song thats not good but ntot bad enuf to call horrible so this is it basically. Calling it horrible would be a big stretch tho

16. We Breaking Up:
So so song it aint ne more then any other heartfelt/love song he writes. Basically its the same thing you've heard b4 but with a different title.

18. Rocky Road:
Good song just basically talking about his journey through life and into hip hop. He tells it like it is.

19. Ultimate Victory:
This was a good way to end it. He gives respect to rappers who "Showed him the Way". He talks about how Beef dont matter and how he has achieved Ultimate Victoruy by overcoming this nonsense in the rap game.

LAST WORDS:
This album is on the same level of Sound of Revenge easily. Its a shame at how bad its sales are at the moment because it isnt a bad album. Its rather good. It just lacks what Sound of Revenge was rich in. SINGLES!!!! Chamillionaire sold his Freshman album off of one song basically. Victory doesnt have that kinda firepower behind it. When u delve into politics u risk ur sales. Cuz the Maionstream audience dont wanna hear about ur opinion they just wanna dance.

VERDICT:
